Lamar EDLD 5388 Web Design and Development Reflection and Coursework
Reflection:
EDLD 5388/5365, Web Design and Development, holds great promise for ongoing practical application in my duties as Technology Director. I oversee the La Vernia ISD web site, and work directly with our web master to ensure the site meets the needs of the District and the community. While our existing web site meets the needs of diverse cultures by offering translations of content into many languages, and the site is updated several times per week to remain relevant, there has been a dearth of interactive Web 2.0 content. Additionally, existing District policies were not as comprehensive as the Web Site Policy and other procedures and policies developed as assignments in EDLD 5388/5365. The new policies and procedures created created in this class will benefit the District and ultimately the students and community as they are adapted to and implemented within La Vernia ISD.
